Christmas is coming, the high street is quiet, internet sales are up, bargains to be had in the shops before the prices go back up in the new year, people have no money and the motor trade is heading into a quiet period because customers have no money!!
All depressing news right?
Well, why should it be, in the age of the savvy shopper, why are we so quiet in december and the run up to christmas?
In March and September we are busy without fail and this is because of the new registrations and the high volume of showroom traffic.
We should still be busy in December for the simple fact that we are presumed to be quiet. For the sensible shopper out there, they should realise that at the quieter times of the year, the sales executive can afford to spend even more time with the them, assesing and presenting their needs and also giving them great deals.
At the minute for example, here at Phoenix we are offering complimentary 3 year servicing on selected used cars - yes, USED cars, it is almost unheard of, especially at this time of the year. On top of that the service plans are available at obscene discounts with our Phoenix Ever After service plans.
Customers are always worried about payments at christmas and having no money. Again, why? Here at Phoenix we offer the option of deferred finance options, meaning you get the car you want at the price you want it, yet you won't have to pay the first payment until well into the new year at no extra cost in the long run.
So let me ask again, no money, it's quiet, i can't afford that? With great forecourt prices, deferred payments and great offers, this is actually a GREAT time to buy a new car. Let's make sure we convey this news to our customers and look after them as we would an honoured guest in our home!!
